Sofie Verweyen is a cinematographer who believes in the power of shaping light and composition to tell a story. Every project has its own unique style and it’s up to the cinematographer and director to establish it together.
She is passionate about telling stories that inspire others and actually help change the world. She believes that films have the ability to unite people and shape people’s views.
She has shot award-winning films, including Greta (2020), a short film that screened at Cannes at the American Pavilion, was the opening film at One Earth Film Festival, and won best short at Cinequest. Her newest projects, a horror film, Night of Terror (2025), and a dance film, ¿Te Tiento? (2025), are currently making their rounds in the festival circuit.
